FAQs for Parents
It is my student's first time attending James River Youth – How will they know where to go/what to do?
James River Youth leaders are pumped to connect with first time guests! So much so, we roll out the red carpet – literally!
At each venue, we have a VIP lounge staffed by an energetic team of volunteers that are ready to host your student and help them know where to go and what to do! They’ll give tours of the facility, make introductions to other students and leaders and offer delicious food options from the VIP lounge!
After checking in, your student will experience a service full of fun, high energy worship and a message that is focused on God’s love!

How do you choose life group host homes?
Because life groups are designed to help students grow in their walk with God, we are also committed to their safety and overall experience with this incredible community of like-minded believers.
Every person who hosts a group at their home is a current member of James River Church and has gone through a background screening approval process. Host homes are also approved by one of our James River Youth pastors.
