Don’t Fret!

Matthew 6:25 NIV
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.

Philippians 4:5b-6a NIV
The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition…

Psalm 37:1 ESV
Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers!

Psalm 37:7 ESV
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

Psalm 37:8 ESV
Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.

Fret: 1. Constantly or visibly worried or anxious
2a. to eat or gnaw into : CORRODE
The acid fretted the metal.
2b. RUB, CHAFE
The harness strap was fretting the horse.

1st Trust in the Lord

Psalm 37:3 ESV

2nd Delight yourself in the Lord

3rd Commit your way to the Lord

4th Be still
