Vision 2010
James River has been able to make the impact we've seen because people have stepped up to lead by serving in ministry. In the past perhaps there have been some who have been excited about making an impact but have stayed on the sidelines. Sometimes people just wait around expecting a door to open itself, but God wants us to step out in faith and to be involved in a ministry.
God could be asking you to open your door to host a Life Group, lead a Life Group, serve in the kids' area, or go on a mission's trip. For some of you God could be asking you to literally open the door to your home and become a foster or adoptive parent. We know it is God who opens doors of ministry for us to be effective in serving Him. In 1 Corinthians 16:9, Paul stays in Ephesus, saying, "because a great door for effective work has opened to me."
Let me ask you this, What role are you going to play in making Vision 2010 a reality? What are you going to do to be effective this year? What door is before you?
