What to Expect at James River
When you come to James River you will quickly find a warm, friendly group of people committed to making church exciting, life-changing, and enjoyable.
There are services for the whole family that include wonderful contemporary worship, a time of biblical teaching, and an opportunity to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ. The service is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in length. Red Carpet Hosts are located all throughout the church to make sure your questions are answered.
After service please join us at the Loft located on the second level through the back doors of the auditorium. The Loft is a place for those new to James River to connect with others, ask questions and enjoy free refreshments after the service.
We encourage you to come as you are - attire is casual. What is most important to us is that you come and experience what God wants to do in your life.
What About Kids?
Kids programs are offered during every service for infants through 5th grade. The North East and East entrances are closest to the JamesRiverKids area. Red Carpet Hosts at every entrance will assist you with getting your children checked in and to their special area. Your kids will enjoy a interactive service that is specifically designed for them. What About Students?
Realife is James River's thriving student ministry that connects students to one another and encourages a passionate relationship with God. All students Junior High through College, are invited to be a part of the Wednesday night 7pm service in the Realife Student Center. Additionally, Junior High students are invited to a special 9am Sunday morning service designed specifically for them. Learn more.
Church Services at James River
Sunday morning services are at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30am. On Sunday nights we alternate between a dynamic service and Life Groups, our small group ministry. Life Groups meet on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday nights of the month. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday nights there are evening services at 6pm. We strongly believe the Wednesday Night Prayer service is our most important service of the week because when we pray, everything is possible. Our weekly Prayer Service is on Wednesday nights at 7pm.
